The Municipal Airport Authority is a five member board that was established to oversee airport activities and implementation of the airport master plan, and has since invested time and money into improvements to provide a safe and efficient airport.

The Municipal Airport Authority normally meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the boardroom at the terminal building.

Airport Master Plan
The Master Plan Update for Hector International Airport was undertaken during calendar year 2000, but was not printed final until May 2002.  The Municipal Airport Authority accepted the final recommendations of the plan in early 2002.

Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Program
The purpose of the ACDBE program is to increase the opportunities for minority and women-owned small businesses to operate as concessionaires in the nation’s airports. The ACDBE program is mandated by 49 U.S.C. 47107(e).

Terminal Expansion Plan
The purpose of the Terminal Expansion Study is to determine the most appropriate means of providing improvements to the terminal facility at Hector International Airport in order to meet the demand of anticipated growth in passenger traffic over the next twenty years.

Tarmac Delay Contingency Plan
The Municipal Airport Authority, the owner and operator of Hector International Airport (FAR), has prepared this Tarmac Delay Contingency Plan pursuant to §42301 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012. Questions regarding this plan can be directed to email@fargoairport.com. The Municipal Airport Authority has filled this plan with the United States Department of Transportation because it is a commercial service airport.
