American Adds More Seats to Dallas/Ft. Worth

Posted July 13, 2016

Hector International Airport is pleased to announce that, beginning August 5, 2016, American Airlines will be flying the larger Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft on its nonstop service from Fargo to Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.

The CRJ-900 seats 76 passengers; up from the 50-seat Embraer EMB-145 currently operated on the
route. The larger aircraft also has a first class cabin, giving passengers more options to enjoy the full range of comfort and amenities that American Airlines offers throughout the entirety of their trip; whether that be just to Dallas/Ft. Worth or beyond.

As American Airlines’ largest domestic hub, American and its Oneworld partners operate 800 daily flights to 202 destinations throughout the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia from Dallas/Ft Worth. With so many travel options available with just one stop, many Fargo passengers have found the nonstop service between Fargo and Dallas/Ft. Worth an ideal travel opportunity.

Shawn Dobberstein, Fargo Municipal Airport Authority Executive Director, notes up-gauging from American Airlines is a testament to the community’s support for Fargo’s Hector International Airport and is a tangible result of the airport’s continued commitment to bring great air service options to Fargo and the surrounding region.

“We are delighted to see that American Airlines has taken note of the fact that people in Fargo love the nonstop flights to DFW and has answered the community’s desire for more air service. With these additional seats in our market and the first class seating option, I suspect we’ll see even stronger performance in our market.”

The CRJ-900 will be operated on both the morning and the afternoon flights from Fargo.
