Russian Built Cargo Plane Makes Hector Stop

The massive Antonov AN-124 made a scheduled stop in Fargo on Sunday from a non-stop flight from London-Stansted Airport. The aircraft landed at approximately 4:40 PM to clear U.S. Customs/Immigration and to take on fuel.

This is the fourth stop in Fargo for this same type aircraft which is slightly larger than the Lockheed AN-125 Picture C-5 Galaxy (flown by the U.S. military).

The aircraft then departed for Bismarck where it was to load a large piece of electrical equipment to be flown for repair on the east coast.

This aircraft is operated by Air Foyle HeavyLift which is the worldwide General Sales Agent for Antonov Airlines, together they are marketed as Antonov Airlines. Based in Takeley near London Stansted Airport. They operate a fleet of one AN225, seven AN124-100 freighters, one AN-22, and three AN-12 aircraft.
