Fargo’s Municipal Airport Authority is proud to announce that Mr. Joseph T. Parmer, the Airport's former Executive Director for 50 years (1946 - 1996), has been awarded an Honorary Life Membership in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

The American Association of Airport Executives is the largest professional organization for airport executives in the world, representing thousands of airport management personnel at public use airports nationwide.

The AAAE Honorary Life Membership is open to those individuals who are outstanding in the field of airport establishment, development, administration, management, operation or any related field of aviation. The privilege of honorary memberships are extended to individuals only after a two thirds affirmative vote of the AAAE Board of Directors. The AAAE currently has 4,500 members and only 23 Honorary Life Members.

Mr. Parmer was presented with this award on Tuesday, November 10, 1998, in the Airport Boardroom following the Airport Authority's regular meeting.
