Allegiant Air Announces New Nonstop Flights to Phoenix

Fargo lands another hole-in-one with Allegiant Air as the low-cost airline announces it will offer nonstop service to Phoenix-Mesa, Ariz. from Fargo beginning Nov. 15. The carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to Arizona with introductory fares as low as $99* each way.

"We are extremely pleased to again expand the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Fargo-Moorhead community," Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., president, CEO of Allegiant Air said. "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only scheduled service between Fargo and Arizona."

The self-proclaimed 'Official Airline for Sunshine' will launch the new scheduled service from the Hector International Airport to Williams Gateway Airport with two flights weekly. With service Thursday and Sunday, flights will depart Fargo at 11:40 a.m. arriving in Phoenix-Mesa at 1:50 p.m. Flights leaving Phoenix-Mesa will depart at 7:15 a.m. arriving in Fargo at 11:05 a.m. (all flight times are local.) Allegiant inaugurated service to Las Vegas Nov. 7, 2005.

The Phoenix-Mesa market is consistently ranked as one of our top five O&D markets. Allegiant Air already provides great service to Las Vegas which has become our number one destination. Our leisure and business travelers appreciate Allegiant Air's commitment to our community and surrounding region by providing service to our sixth nonstop destination. "The City of Fargo is very excited that Allegiant Air has decided to provide nonstop service to Phoenix-Mesa," said Dennis Walaker, City of Fargo Mayor. "There has been an ongoing effort to get more air service to Fargo-Moorhead and we are appreciative that Allegiant will be providing another nonstop vacation destination."

The airline commented market research and input from local community leaders indicate the Fargo-Moorhead communities will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Phoenix-Mesa as an alternative to connecting flights and long drives to other airports.

Allegiant will utilize 130-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route. Allegiant will partner with more than 20 resorts in Arizona, including hotels in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Sedona and air/hotel packages are available for as low as $345*. (Price is per person, based on three-night hotel stay at the Days Inn Scottsdale Fashion Square Resort, double occupancy and reflects a Thursday arrival. Travel must be completed by Dec. 31, 2007.) The company will provide low-cost car rental service through its partnership with Alamo Rent a Car.;

Allegiant's $99* one-way introductory fare is limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Sept. 22, 2007, for travel through Feb. 10, 2008. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares on the route start as low as $109 one-way.
