Hector International Airport in Fargo ND (KFAR) has
broken ground on a New U.S. Customs office designed to
improve the experience for international arrivals. The
new facility is being constructed on the North general
aviation ramp between two of Fargo Jet Center’s main
hangars.
"We are committed to a high level of service for our
visiting international flights and a part of that
service is the facilities we offer," says Shawn
Dobberstein, Executive Director of Hector International
Airport. "Building the new U.S. Customs office next to
Fargo Jet Center was a strategic move to give
international flights access to both services in one
location," adds Dobberstein.
The new 3,603 sq. ft. facility is has been designed
using US Customs guidelines and will be equipped with
the latest technology for expediting US Customs
clearances. KFAR is a Landing Rights Port of Entry with
services available 24/7.
"We have a great working relationship with our
airport authority and for more than a decade, we have
worked together to promote Fargo as a preferred location
for both clearing U.S. Customs and FBO services. Our
international business has grown significantly over that
time," says FJC Vice President of marketing Darren Hall.
"Co-locating the US Customs office on our ramp improves
the experience for our international passengers and
crews when stopping in Fargo," adds Hall.
