Airline passenger traffic in March at Hector International Airport showed a decrease as compared to the same month in 2006. In March 2007, the passenger enplanements were 26,454. This was a decrease of -5.1% when compared to the March 2006 passenger enplanements of 27,976.

Although there was a decrease in March boarding, this was the busiest first quarter ever on record at Hector International Airport with 77,085 passengers departing. A portion of the reduction in passengers is attributable to Northwest Airlines discontinuing the non-stop service to Las Vegas.

Total passenger count for the month was 54,743, which was down -3.3% over the same period last year.
