Airline passenger traffic in March at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2008. In March 2009, the passenger enplanements were 28,978. This is an increase of 6.0% when compared to the March 2008 passenger enplanements of 27,338.

March 2009 was the busiest March on record.  The first three months of 2009 were the busiest first quarter in airport's history.

Total passenger count for the month was 60,107, which is up 4.8% over the same period last year.

In March, Delta announced a second Salt Lake City flight starting July 2 and United Express announced a fifth Denver flight beginning June 4th. 

Allegiant will begin Los Angeles service on May 23.

There were 526 air carrier departures in the month of March with a daily average of 1,939 passengers both arriving and departing.
