United
Parcel Service (UPS) resumed its busy peak-demand flight
to Fargo for the sixth consecutive holiday season.
The daily flight will begin on November 21 and run until
December 24.
For
the second year, UPS is operating the route with a
Boeing 757-200F. The 757 can carry a payload of
88,000 pounds with a maximum takeoff weight of 272,500
pounds. UPS started the seasonal service in 2000
with a Boeing 727. The cargo jet will arrive at
Hector International Airport at approximately 7:00 a.m.
each morning and depart for Des Moines and then its
Louisville cargo hub at 8:45 p.m.
This seasonal
air cargo flight is added to better serve the
Fargo/Moorhead area during the busy holiday package
season.
