Who We Are
The Municipal Airport Authority was established on April 8, 1969, by the City of Fargo. A five-member volunteer board is appointed by the Mayor of Fargo to serve five-year terms which can be renewed.
The Municipal Airport Authority board serves the public by overseeing the development of the airport to meet the aviation needs of the community and surrounding region. This includes the ever-changing airport master plan which guides the board in identifying infrastructure projects to meet federal aviation standards along with projects to enhance or expand infrastructure to accommodate necessary aviation services and customer needs.
The board is actively involved in air service development to ensure the region we serve is efficiently connected to the national air transportation system. Air access to multiple strategically located hub airports allows business and leisure travelers the opportunity to efficiently travel the world to and from Fargo.
The Municipal Airport Authority normally meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the boardroom at the passenger terminal building. The agenda for the upcoming meeting and the associated minutes can be found on this webpage.
