Hector International Airport’s airline passenger traffic in April showed an increase when compared to the same month in 2020. In April 2021, the passenger enplanements were 27,119. This is an increase of 1,644% when compared to the April 2020 passenger enplanements of 1,555. The effects of COVID almost shut down air travel in April 2020. Compared to 2019, enplanements were down -21%.
The total passenger count for the month was 57,346, which is up 1,307% over the same period last year.
There were 525 air carrier departures with an average of 83 seats per flight in April and an average of 1,912 total daily passengers.
