RECORD JANUARY FOR ENPLANED PASSENGERS
Hector International Airport airline passenger traffic in January showed an increase when compared to the same month in 2018. In January 2019, the passenger enplanements were exactly 37,000. This is an increase of 9.0% when compared to the January 2018 passenger enplanements of 34,022. This was the busiest January since the previous record was set in 2014. This record was set even though there were 46 cancelled flights late in the month due to the uncooperative weather.
Total passenger count for the month was 71,494, which is up 7.8% over the same period last year.
There were 533 air carrier departures with an average of 85 seats per flight in January and an average of 2,306 total daily passengers.
