Hector International Airport’s airline passenger traffic in May showed an increase when compared to the same month in 2020. In May 2021, the passenger enplanements were 29,503. This is an increase of 469% when compared to the May 2020 passenger enplanements of 5,190. The effects of COVID almost shut down air travel in April 2020. Compared to 2019, enplanements were down -22%.
The total passenger count for the month was 58,505, which is up 433% over the same period last year.
There were 515 air carrier departures with an average of 83 seats per flight in May and an average of 1,887 total daily passengers.
