RECORD NOVEMBER FOR PASSENGERS AND AIR CARGO
Hector International Airport airline passenger traffic in November showed an increase when compared to the same month in 2017. In November 2018, the passenger enplanements were 35,683. This is an increase of 13.6% when compared to the November 2017 passenger enplanements of 31,404.
Total passenger count for the month was 69,825, which is up 13.2% over the same period last year.
There were 589 air carrier departures with an average of 75 seats per flight in November and an average of 2,328 total daily passengers.
The previous November record was set in 2014. That record was topped by over 6%.
In addition to the passenger traffic record, Hector Airport had a record month for air cargo traffic. United Parcel Service (UPS) initiated air cargo jet service to Fargo in November. The additional daily flights, including the existing FedEx cargo operation, pushed air cargo traffic to an all-time high of over 510 landings and nearly 30,000,000 pounds of landed weight.
